Howto create a D12 (Rhombic Dodecahedron) in Blender

preview_player
Показать описание
* use the default cube
* delete all faces (face-only)
* extrude all vertices
* merge extruded vertices in center
* delete all but one of these pyramids
* set 3D cursor to base of the pyramid
* scale pyramid by -1 (along the axis that goes through its tip)
* duplicate and rotate the pyramid to all the places where the original cube had faces
* select all
* merge vertices by distance
* convert tris to quads (this fails to do all faces at once, so you need to do the leftovers one by one)

Or...

Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, search for "Add Mesh: Extra Objects" and turn it on

Shift A > Mesh > Math Function > Regular Solid

Under Presets, choose Rhombic Dodecahedron

Is the 3rd step actually extrude all edges?

By the way, I found this tutorial super helpful, but for future videos, it would be a lot easier to follow along if you didn't use hotkeys, since I can't see what you're typing, just what your mouse is doing. But good work!
