I like this tutorial except I'm using 2.10 gimp looks like your using an older version. It seems there's not enough tutorials for making blueprints. I can not get mine to work right. And right at the just past the start using the scale the grid does not show on my image.

are you use filters > render > pattern > checkerboard option...
when we use gimp2.10.12 version, its checkerboard option in x & y layout .
how to set size to offset x & y and height and width ??
