My first time in training with the platform I destroyed the pop up target rendering that lane inoperable for the remainder of the training. I remember being told "Don't actually hit the target fuckhead!" Or something to that effect. To which I replied, "Roger! But that was a good shot though!" I was then instructed to do pushups. Great memories.😂

Loved the system, hated having to carry it to set it up. Unloaded, with a mount, they weigh about 100lbs. They are great at making people lose interest in attacking you.

Can I trade a Dodge ram 2500 from 2001 for it?

The Jam-o-matic 19. Fun fact, I stopped a private from relocating his life when he put a improperly discarded mk-19 round in his 203 on the range. How he got it to close was a struggle. Which caught my attention. When I took his rifle and figured out what was actually happening. There was an investigation. Turns out another private just had an extra one and put it with the blue tipped chalk 203 rounds. Got through the ammo shed and the whole bit. That was a fun day!

Food for thought... there is 1 fully transferable Mk-19 on the NFA registry. Last time I saw it for sale it was $250, 000 and a 48rd can of HEDP rounds will set you back around $20k.

I wanna see what a full belt of 40 mike smoke grenades would look like.

60 isn't the cyclic rate... that's the "pause for effect, adjust aim" rate. Cyclic is closer to 240, but outside of a mechanical mount, it is rather difficult to control, because the reciprocating bolt has to be about forty or fifty pounds.

The mk-19 was conceived and developed at the Naval Ordinance Station at Louisville, KY.

For those upset about the guy saying "em kay" instead of Mark, both are actually correct. If he ever was military, the Army's M in M16A1 is "model", but we dont say model when reading the M.
So if he wasn't Navy, saying it the way he did could be the result of different nomenclature habits in different branches.
I googled, "what does MK mean in guns", and found the following from a military weapons historian.

What's the difference between military firearms with "MK" designation and those designated with "M" (eg. MK13 Mod 7 or M4A1)?

"The designation prefix doesn't depend on the weapon but rather which branch of the US Military initiated the development & production of that weapon.

The prefix “M” is the designation given to any piece of equipment or weapon system that gets officially adopted & employed by the US Army after the initial testing & developmental stages are completed. “M” stands for “Model”.

The prefix “MK” designates a weapon that was developed, tested & put into service by the US Navy. “MK” stands for “MARK”, the US Navy’s equivalent for “Model”.

Both branches use their own suffixes as well, which get added when a change or improvement is developed, tested, & then approved as a new standard to the existing officially adopted model. Like the “A” in “M16A1”, standing for “Alteration”, meaning a change was made & approved to the M16. & the same goes for “MOD” in “MK14 MOD 0”, standing for “MODification” (the Navy starts with 0, not 1 for some reason)

So the literal translation for M16A1 would be, “Model 16, Alteration 1”. MK14 MOD 0 would be, “MARK14 MODIFICATION 0”.

There are other designations used for equipment/weapons still in experimental & developmental stages as well, before officially being accepted as standard issue & gaining the M or MK designation. The Model also gets its # designation during these developmental stages. Like 16 in “M16”.

Hope this made some kind of sense. Military designations can get super confusing, especially since there really isnt a Military-wide basis on how they are added or changed to an issued piece of equipment.
