Konami Bans Metal Gear Solid 5 Creator Kojima From Game Awards

Hideo Kojima allegedly prevented from attending the show to accept his awards according to Geoff Keighley.

I swear Konami is batshit insane. I mean say what you will about EA and Ubisoft, but you can at least understand the evils they do from an economic/business standpoint. Konami just has no logic behind what they do.

It took a lot of courage for Geoff Keighley to say that Konami stopped Hideo Kojima from attending the Game Awards at a live event. I'm sure some of the higher ups at Konami are angry but that's what they are going to get for both firing and not allowing a talented mind like Kojima to attend to a yearly event to get an award. Kojima practically made Konami what it is today. Scratch that, let me rephrase it, what it WAS. Seriously, Konami you have now lost all of my respect and credibility I had towards you after this type of stunt you pulled.

A few weeks back, I was talking with one of my friends about which character I wanted to be in Super Smash Bros. My number one pick was Simon Belmont because we could have another Konami representative, since I'm sure Snake would not come back with Kojima leaving the company, and be able to complete the Captain N reunion. But you know what, after this stunt, I change my mind about the Konami representative part. Since Konami is pretty much making Castelvania the next Huniepop, I just want Sakurai to put Simon Belmont in the game, just so it can scream "Screw you Konami! This guy came from an amazing game!" It would also be a real nice kick into Konami's teeth if somehow, someway, Sakurai got Snake back into the game with David Hayter voicing him again. Either way, this was not a cool stunt you pulled Konami.
