First Australian band I heard when I moved there. A friend gave me a tape of Sex in 1989/90 . It was totally different to anything I had heard (14yo metalhead)... at the time. It stayed with me as the most Aussie thing (whatever that means) I heard. A few years later I came across the Dirty Three, whom I really dug. People were all praising their originality, but they weren't the first instrumental trio in Aust., not really for me. In a way, I kind relate a Sydney vibe to The Necks, and Melbourne to TD3... The Necks live show is really something, one hour songs go by, and you're spewing when it all ends. I also have seen Tony Buck do his thing, which is one of the most interesting musical events I have ever seen...

I've listened to everything The Necks have produced, and this is hands down their best work and pure masterpiece and EPIC!...i've had this track on repeat for literally 2 weeks straight while at work.

Their ability to stay so locked into a groove for so long is incredibly admirable.

This Sounds Like the Main Menu music of some Epic racing Game you heard endless hours and IT gets better the more you heard IT.

What a wonderful find! I wanted something ambient but jazzier and less pessimistic than Eno. This hits the spot!
