This is my favourite musical and it met one of its aims as the flight attendant has been cleared of blame.

This song has stuck with me for 20 years. Beautifully bitter sweet. I even named my cat Schaharazade.
AIDS scared the crap out of me as a teenager, and this film was the first thing I saw which removed some of that fear.

The funny thing is with in the last few years the message of the film has been confirmed, there was no patient zero. Though the name was a misunderstanding of the medical term which was "Original Patient" the "O" was read misread as zero.

I saw this movie 12 years ago before I first started dating my husband who has AIDS and it gave me great insight into the AIDS mythos and helped explode my fears of dating a guy with AIDS. Now, I still find it romantic and moving and as timely as it must have been in 1993 years -- although for different because of the general health care crisis, the return to unprotected sex, and the sheer expense of AIDS meds. But watch it because it is really very very good.

I just loved this Canadian film. It came out in the early 1990's.

I thought the music was clever. The guy who played Patient Zero is mezmerizing.

I met filmmaker John Greyson an the lgbt film festival in Ottawa. He seemed suprised that I'd seen the film more than once.
I couldn't believe that no one else was waiting to talk to him. He was just standing there kind of awkwardly outside the theatre doors (at the National Gallery.)

Saw this film at the LLGFF the year it came out. I have never forgotten this haunting song.

HOW did I ever miss this film when it was released? Just found out about it a couple weeks ago, and got the Netflix DVD. It's a wonderful film - the lead actor is stunningly good looking - and the music is well-done and catchy. Love this video - it was one of my favorite scenes.

You're welcome. The soundtrack to "Zero Patience" is one of my favourite movie soundtracks EVER. And this is my favourite song from it. An AIDS-themed Canadian movie versus a multi-million-dollar foreign production. Give me the Canadian film any time. I have to confess to the number of times I was cruised after the movie when I walked to the subway from whatever Festival rep cinema: I never went out with anyone, but I did have someone to talk to, albeit briefly, about this great movie we saw.

I saw this movie at least a dozen times and went down to the rep cinemas in Toronto to watch it. The movie was so good and the music so catchy I just called up John Grayson (he was still in the Toronto phone book) to tell him so. I was disappointed that the CD soundtrack was eventually released months later in Europe first and far too late in Canada to have much of an impact. I did by a UK import. LOVE THIS MOVIE

@brotherdarek This movie SO rocked!!!! I'm really surprised that more people (gay, straight, just folks who love good movies) didn't make it a real hit.
