Zoom Podtrak P4 Review and Audio Demo

The P4 can drive most dynamic microphones, the kind most used in podcasting, including gain hungry microphones like the Shure SM7B and it does so cleanly, with little to no noise reduction required.

And for podcasters, there is the option to record audio from both smartphones and computers. This allows you to have two remote guests or co-hosts and it includes an automatic mix-minus feature allowing everyone to hear each other without getting feedback of themselves, all at the flick of a switch.

Four separate headphone amplifiers mean everyone can control their own audio settings.

The ability to power the P4 for hours via a USB battery brick, plugged into the wall or from the USB connection to the computer.

The P4 is packed with features that are specific to a podcaster's needs and is a great option for anyone starting a podcast or in need of an ultra portable solution for recording a podcast on the road.

This has been one of the best reviews I have seen on this device. It is 2024 while I am watching this, and you can get this device for around $130 for Black Friday. SO it makes getting this not just a bargain, but if you decide to get another device or microphone, it wont kill your wallet.

This caught my eye as a great utility recorder / Swiss Army knife. To record phone interviews, use as a audio interface with a computer, and a four channel mic recorder, and also with the sound pads, it’s a great portable utility device device. Good stuff.

Hallo, i have a question about this Zoom P4:

I have to make audio recording from my Boss Katana guitar amplificator. Well, this amp has only an USB Type-C connection for the "Recording audio OUT".

If i connect the Boss Katana to the USB Type-C port of this PodTrak P4, selecting "Audio 2-IN", can this connection works for recording?

Did you see the battery power bank working well? The Amazon link says 5v 2.4/3amps but Zoom recommends 5v 1a DC power source.

Hello. I am interested in PodTrak P4. I want to ask you some things before purchasing.

1) My main setup is just one microphone and use the audio from my computer, so i will use the audio interface feature. I read that is not quaranteed that it will work with AMD processors. Will it work with mine processor? See attachment please.

2) As i am not a professional podcaster, i need the recorded file to be saved as an ''One File Recording''. I read that chanels are recorded separately and need editing after in order to create the final mix. Can't they also be recorded as ''One File'', without needing editing afterwards?
