YEMOJA(MOTHER OF All WATERS) by ELLA ANDALL

Yemoja is an orisha and the mother of all orishas she have given birth to 14 Yoruba gods and goddesses. Yemoja is often depicted as a mermaid, and is associated with the moon, water, and feminine mysteries. She is the protector of women. She governs everything pertaining women; childbirth, conception, parenting, children safety, love, and healing. She oversees deep secrets, ancient wisdom, the moon, sea shells, and the collective unconscious. According to myth, when her waters broke, it caused a great flood creating rivers and streams and the first mortal humans were created from her womb.

Recently I visited Curacao for vacation and to connect to the island my father was born on. I was on the phone speaking with a friend and asked him what he thought I should wear to dinner. Without hesitation he said, “wear white and light blue”. He had no idea what was in my suitcase 😂
That was the furthest thing from my mind, but when I got back to my room I realized the entire room was blue and white. I hadn’t noticed…
So needless to say I put on blue and white 😊
I started listening to these songs and felt vibration throughout every fiber of my being.
The next day- I went to purchase some souvenirs from the local people and saw a beautiful painting of Yemaya. I purchased it and told the lady to keep the change… seconds and I mean seconds later a heavy sun shower occurred for about 3 min… I smiled, receiving the blessing…

The next morning I got up early to go to the water to pray to Yemaya. After offering some watermelon (my friend said this is a good thing to do), another sun shower occurred. These experiences will be among my most cherished memories… Yemaya called to me, I listened and received a blessing from her.
