hirty-one doctors, including doctors from Ohio and Kentucky, now face charges related to illegally prescribing and distributing opioids in the single-largest prescription opioid operation in history, federal officials announced Wednesday. The charges stem from the Appalachian Regional Prescription Opioid Strike Force’s investigations. The strike force, comprised of prosecutors, data analysts and special agents, started investigating in December in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia and Alabama.
