Now i just want to see the moon happy. It deserves nice things after all that stress.

my favorite part of this game is on the final day, while happy music is playing, you can hear ominous darker music in the back

I always liked the way the moon looked in the N64 version, you could never really tell if it was angry or in pain

I believe in the game, there’s a piece of dialogue that states the moon having a face was a recent development people had noticed, implying Majora, puppetting the SkullKid, was the one that fashioned the face on the moon.

I could be mistaken however.

I remember the first time I saw the moon while moving the camera and gave me a fright for a hot minute.

Now I understand why that meteor looked so much like Termina's moon. Thanks man!

What it reminds me of is Georges Melies’s set designs of the moon in his early films

I'm not sure the moon smiling would be any less creepy 😅

The moon without a face gives me a strange feeling, I can't explain it, but I feel that without the face it seems more bizarre and scary.

When will you release part 3 of the classic enemies reimagined series? I was also that thinking that maybe you should try to contact Nintendo and have them use your ideas for classic Zelda enemy redesigns that you showed off in them in a potential third open-world Zelda game.

Madara: But what are you going to do about the second one?

I always had a headcanon theory that the moon in Majora’s Mask actually doesn’t have a face, but rather that it’s meant to represent Ganondorf’s face as some sort of poetic revenge against Link. Maybe Link’s the only one who can see it, and it’s due to some kind of paranoia about Ganondorf taking revenge against him.

Or maybe Majora’s Mask itself has a connection to Demise’s hatred. And that power, when used to pull down the moon, manifests in the form of Ganondorf’s face

Majoras Mask just had this incredibly dark and weird feel to it. It’s really impressive because it’s directly after one of the most acclaimed games of all time and still managed to be unique and different. If it were today we’d just get OoT2

You'd think *the moon* slowly crashing into earth would've been memorable and iconic enough, but then some crazy bastard said "LET'S SLAP A DISTURBING AND UNSETTLING FACE ONTO IT!"

I originally started out with BoTW as my first Zelda game. My friend told me the Majora Mask moon was the old original Blood Moon.

My man Takaya Imamura is responsible for some of my childhood nightmares, but also contributed to one of my favorite games. I guess it balances out.
