I'm from England and have been fortunate enough to see JJ & Mofro live maybe 6 times, a couple of times in the UK, several times in Florida and a bucket list trip from the UK to Red Rocks, Colorado, a few years back; I've got tickets for Orange Blossom Festival at Lake Wales too (helluva trip for a weekend away!!). The thing is they never ever disappoint and for me should be right up there in terms of recognition with some of the biggest bands ever. That will probably never happen and it's a travesty for the band but for me I'll just keep taking what they offer because they are just incredible, live and recorded, a real band in an age of imposters. I love what they do and the way they do it. Great new single, deserves to be heard far and wide because it speaks to us. Can't wait for the album either. Thanks for the music JJ Grey & Mofro and long may it continue.

Its so awesome to still in 2023-24 be able to witness such superstars perform up close and personal in small clubs/venues.

20 April 2024- my 2 sons, 38 and 40 y/o took me to JJ and Mofro in St Louis at the outdoor venue, Chesterfield Amphitheatre. The night was unseasonably cold and windy, yet JJ and the band did not disappoint. Although I am music lover, have been, my whole life, somehow I had not picked up on JJ &Mofro. That night has changed my soul and I instantly became a fan for what little life I have left. Originally being from the coast of NC when this song was performed, a wave of emotion took over my whole being and my life paraded in front of my eyes. I broke down like a child and cried more tears than I ever have in my entire life. I have NEVER been so moved by a song, an artist, a band. I want to thank JJ, and the band for a very special night, for not only, me, but everyone there. It would have been so easy for you all to give up, it was sooo damn cold. You didn't however and you made that blustery cold night very very special for one old guy, from the sea!

I’ve been following JJ Grey & Mofro since I first saw him in 2004 supporting North Mississippi Allstars at Irving Plaza, New York City. I was also lucky enough to meet him at the North Sea Jazz Festival in 2013 and talk about watermelons (amongst other things). This song sounds like a departure firstly with his voice in a higher key, secondly the mellifluous acoustic guitar and lastly deeper, more developed lyrics. Surprising at first listen because it sounds different to what has come before but is in fact a natural progression. Simply beautiful. I will dedicate this to seafarers, yachties and fishermen the world over.

I really hope that he’ll play Greece one day…
