I was like wtf but if you think about it, kenpachi would not give a shit about killing his own fucking children in battle as long as they put on a good fight, so even if tsukishima inserted himself in kenpachi's past as his childhood friend kenpachi would still fucking shred him

Zaraki is passively strong enough to survive most killing blows while entirely off guard, and he's gonna see that attack as a challenge. He would maybe hold back against Yachiru, but realistically he would take any challenge from an opponent who could cut him seriously. Even if they were any important figure from his life, Yachiru or Unohana, i think he would just fight differently. He'd fight to subdue Yachiru, and be incredibly disappointed in how much weaker and more cowardly Unohana was.

At the end of the day, Zaraki is so strong and single-minded that i wouldn't be surprised if Tsukishima cut him, saw his power, and accurately decided to get away
