WORLD PREMIERE! 2022 AUDI RS3 SPORTBACK - THE FINAL REVEAL OF THE HOT HATCH KING!

And after the RS3 Sedan made its premiere less than an hour ago, here is the Sportback version in the gorgeous Tango red. As I wrote on the RS3 Sedan, you already know, the car keeps its 2.5L turbocharged 5cylinder engine. Probably the last fully petrol powered Audi RS model ever. It also keeps its 400 horsepower, but now with more torque of 500Nm (369lbft), which also comes in quite much earlier than the previous generation: between 5600 and 7000rpm. The car is also 0.3 seconds quicker to 100km/h with 3.8 seconds. The top speed can be opted to 290km/h. The new RS3 has a RS3-specific torque-splitting rear axle. Using a multi-plate clutch on each rear axle-shaft, it can send power to right or left, overdriving the outside wheel in corners to reduce understeer and improve handling. It can also send 100% of the engines torque to just one of the rear wheels in certain situations. The Audi Drive Select now also has a RS rear mode that maxes out the torque to the rear of the car, which can make it drift.

But you missed one tiny yet awesome detail: when the daytime running lights at the front switch on, the one on the right side (driver's perspective: left side) makes a "R S 3" signature!!

I think I'm in the minority here, but I prefer the look of the outgoing model. The 8V face-lift exterior was the perfect balance of sleek, yet aggressive. This is not an ugly car by any means, the design just seems a little incoherent, especially with those fake vents, and the "boomerang" headlights. Nonetheless, this was a beautifully shot video, well done 👏🏾
