I remember watching this video on vh-1 at 6 years old when it was in rotation during summer 1986. Both the song and video still make me smile, and like others said, it's nice to see the full version that doesn't cut out more Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines antics, such as the "fish face" bit near the tank that always made me laugh as a kid.

My favorite part of the song is that harmonic bridge, just fantastic! And another masterpiece written by the late, great Rod Temperton of Heatwave, and later working with MJ on Off the Wall and Thriller, George Benson, James Ingram, Patti Austin, etc.

What a great song, great music video; an epitome of the 80s, and how it felt at that time. If you were lucky enough to be around then, you know what I mean and were lucky enough to have experienced it in real time. :-) I absolutely LOVE this "Cop-medy" about 2 normal cops doing what they could to try and make a difference. They weren't Marion Cobretti, or Harry Calhan, just two average guys trying to make a difference on the streets of Chicago. Running Scared had sequel written all over it, a real shame, especially with Hines and Crystals tango like chemistry, that it never happened. :--<
