In Africa, there is a tribe that all walk on stilts as they traverse their lands. To avoid snakes is one reason. I'm guessing that this impressive statue is to memorialize a famous leader. Stunning!

What I find amazing though is I appreciate the opportunity to view artifacts is how museums have collected items as invaders of other countries. In my opinion, artifacts that we’re not purchased from a country should be returned.

Seeing life size and imposing tall size axhibts of these kinds of statueesque type of artistically sculptures really was something else
it accentured enhanced the experince
really enjoyed visting this place and definitely vist again for sure...

For people moaning about the British museum...count yourself f-ing lucky as the British museum allows hardly any British history to be on display, its either destroyed, lied about or simply hidden. Our governments like to preserve and promote every culture over ours. A man researching welsh history tracked an ancient tablet to the museum only to find it was upside down and turned backwards tucked in a corner behind glass so it couldnt be seen as it showed important migration routes.He told them about it and when he went back the following week it had disapeared. This crap happens all the time. We have the most covered up history. The germans on the throne colonised the English ( real name Lloegres) and replaced their history with a germanic one, they dont even know who they are, they're still going around calling themselves anglo saxons. Theres a saying ..., once Britains real history is revealed them the worlds real history gets revealed. Its all connected to Britain.

Other than the modern articles used in this work, telling me its probably not ancient, it is a really cool piece. Rather than attempting to pass it off as ancient, id like to know who the real artist is that made it, they are definitely talented!!

It’s literally a Nike high top shoe but with out the front toe part cut out 🤯 wow our ancestors or a civilization that goes way back was already wearing a shoe type & style in the past .! 😲
