in my opinion 1999's The Mummy is the perfect action adventure film. it has everything, Action, Suspense, romance, Horror, adventure and comedy and it perfectly balances them all. the ultimate thrill a minute summer Blockbuster. they just don't make them like they used too.

Kudos to WatchMojo for realizing that filmography didn't start in 2000 for once.

2 Decades later and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is still the King. Honestly, just this short clip with the Fellowship theme playing, gave me Goosebumps.

"The Princess Bride" definitely gets my vote, since it's full of romance, adventure, and all of the actors are incredible. 💗

I remember seeing Jurassic Park in theaters with my dad. There was a problem with the projector and we had to wait an extra half hour for the film to start, but it was so worth it.

Top 3 (In my opinion):
1. Jurassic Park
2. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
I love Jurassic Park, because of the scenes with the Dinosaurs, it became one of my favourite adventure movies of all time. Not much I can see on this list that is good enough on my list, but to me, it seems like Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones makes my list not only because of some of their Iconic action scenes, but also with amazing actors that brought these awesome characters, especially Johnny Depp and Harrison Ford (one of the best actors of all time).

My all-time favorite is Ladyhawke. It has it all. Epic plot, gorgeous horses, sword fights and humor. To top it off is Rutger Haure, Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Broderick and Leo McKern giving top notch performances. Too bad it is all but forgotten now.

"If Adventures Has A Name, It'll Always Be INDIANA JONES!" and I have always LOVED that awesome film trilogy with Harrison Ford.

I was today-years-old when I found out the "we don't need no stinking badges" from Blazing Saddles was a nod to the 1948 film "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre."

The silent era prodced some great adventure movies.
1. The Thief of Bagdad (1924), directed by Raoul Walsh, starring Douglas Fairbanks
2. The Sea Hawk (1924), directed by Frank Lloyd, starring Milton Sills
3. Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925), directed by Fred Niblo, starring Ramon Novarro and Francis X. Bushman
4. Wings (1927), directed by William Wellman
5. Buster Keaton's The General (1926)
6. Die Nibelungen (1924), directed in two parts by Fritz Lang

I know Ben-Hur was remade in the 1950s, but I like the silent version. Includes several scenes in early two-strip Technicolor.

The absence of "The Thief of Bagdad" from 1940 is scandalous. Could even be #1 and it's not even on the list. Seriously the most underrated movie in existence.

I feel like the Back to the Future Trilogy is an adventure series an adventure through the spacetime continuum.

It's amazing that Short Round managed to appear in 2 of these (The Goonies and Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom).
