Just wear a yellow vest and have a clip board. If anyone ask, you just say you’re checking the sprinkler system. Very easy for criminals to not look suspicious unfortunately

Clearly, the best place to hide your house key is in an *actual* dog turd.

If someone tries to get in with the key, they'll see the turd, go "clearly, that's a hideakey", touch it, go "nope, that... that's a dog turd. Ew."

And then it's safe.

On the downside, you have to touch a dog turd if you need it. And because actual dog turds rot, you have to replace it with a fresh one regularly.

you could also use a 2-cent piece of tape and tape it sone where out of the way, like your backyard or fence post

I've seen "sprinkler heads" by front doors at customers homes and zero evidence of any sprinklers or a system. I tell them it kind of sticks out. I put a key pad on my house in case my key is lost or family needs entry.

The house keys are dumb. Someone is always going to see you place it.

Hiding a manual pair of lockpicks somewhere.

If they know how to use lockpicks, they'll probably just break in anyway, If they dont know how to use lockpicks, Then you just prevented them from getting your key
