Wicked trade for my ChiSox! We need pitching and defence more than anything. Shewmake might be the real steal but I'm excited about Soroka and I like what I've seen from Lopez when he was a Royal

It’s a good deal for both clubs. Braves were about to non-tender a couple of them anyway. Nicky was going to make 4 million. Braves clearing space for bigger moves and Sox are rebuilding. The perfect win-win deal.

It's a win/ win deal. ATL unloaded some players from the 40-man to make room for adding more upgrades while upgrading their BP. While CWS got some players that can & will improve their team overall.

This is a clear win for the white sox no matter what the Braves' reasons were. It's reminiscent of other trades AA has made and the Varsho trade the Blue Jays made last year. It's not that Bummer is a bad player (although he was last year) it's just that they've given up way too much. Just look at the Sean Murphy trade. Sean Murphy is a great player, but was he worth giving up multiple prospects and the NL Silver Slugger winner at the same position? I don't think so. The farm system has been destroyed by trades like this where the Braves just give up too much.

I don’t like Lopez in the trade for the Braves. He was the main depth. Feel like they gave up a little much for Bummer, who I do like, but the farm system is a little thin. Braves have been in the Nola talks, but I have a feeling he’s gonna become more expensive because all the teams interested in him

I think it’s a whop sided trade just like I thought Sean Murphy was a whop sided trade you’re gonna give up to first round picks in a farm system that’s already depleted when really Nikki Lopez and Michael Seroka should’ve got that reliever. He didn’t have a good year last year anyway his value should’ve never been there.

I have always felt that the "Change-of-scenery" aspect in Baseball moves is a lot like "the most important ability, availability" - underrated and generally a decent risk. Of course time is the ultimate arbiter of value but it is fun to project how these players will help their new respective teams. Great stuff. Hopefully the barely warm stove is going to start heating up soon, getting tired of the media rehashing.

kudos to chris getz getting 5 players that could help his team now, i hope AA is right on doing these though soroka and lopez will be non tendered but it sucks seeing maple mike leaving the braves...
