That's my favourite movie! I once watched it when I was 5 or 6 years old and remembered every bit of it, since it was on free TV I couldn't remember the name. So I spent the next 8 years actively searching for the movie. I finally found it casually browsing the TV channels and it was running on some random channel, I watched till the end and wrote down the actor names and the movie name. Well now it's 2023 and I watched it 327 times since 2002. gosh I love this movie.

Falken (John Wood) was actually 53 in this film, very flattering to pass him off as 41! Legendary film!

I’m 61 and I loved this movie. I was in computers and it fascinated me a lot. I’m still in computers. I have seen the movie at least 5 times. I would like to see it again but could not find in on a streaming service.

Anytime a computer asks you "are you sure about that?", just say no.

-"He wasn't very old"
-"He was pretty old, he was 41"
-"Oh yeah? That's old"

Me as a 41 y.o.: 😢

Good old nerdy Matthew Broderick: Having a beautiful, sweaty girl like Ally Sheedy sitting right next to him on his bedroom... but all he wants to do is play computer games with Skynet.

At this time I was already creating routines in machine language for the z80a. I changed the RAM memory addresses, and 'hidden' the routine above the memory. My intention was to give a 'break' command right after loading games, so I could then give a 'save' command to sell the copies... I was 12 years old.

Watching this in 2024 as "computers learning to learn" is actually was scarier (and way more corporate driven) than we thought it'd be...
