Top New Tech + Cool Gadget Trends!! CES 2017 Highlights

CES 2017 was awesome! This was my first year and I was able to see a TON of cool new tech, and meet a LOT of cool people! (Huge shoutout to Luke Lafreniere from Linus Tech Tips for the dinner party :)

Major tech trends and cool stuff I saw:
-Lots of 3D printers, large and small, super expensive to "more affordable"
-A TON of VR (virtual reality, simple phone goggles, HTC vive, etc) and AR (augmented reality), not too common, but slowly getting better
-Massive large screens, lots of OLED, 8K TV's and monitors
-Smart Home Tech is booming, from camera bulbs and floodlights, smart doorbells, locks, motion sensors, pan/tilt/360 cameras, electronic blinds, air vents, thermostats, and so much more
-A TON of camera gimbals: for actions cameras and smartphones. Lot of different mount options available; chest, helmet, etc
-YI just launched their new 4K+ action camera, features 4K at 60fps (first action cam to offer this), plus EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) at 4K 30fps (it used to need to be stopped down to 2K)
-Robots everywhere for almost every reason: Sphero for education, bots for hospitality, video conference calls.. that's where I saw Dan from What's Inside and Jared Mecham from "Ellie + Jared".

Overall, CES 2017 was a blast and I can't wait for next year. Thanks for watching!

Looks like a really fun show. It's ironic how simple looking that 4k camera looks....just a box lol.
I think your current selection of tech you review is of interest to most viewers. Certain products, like hover-boards or scooters as an example, I'd never use, but it's fun to watch your reviews on them. For me personally, I'd like to see bicycle peripherals tech and can't wait for your 8k! videos :)

I'm curious about robotics. I don't think we're there yet, but I imagine that, once we are, the industry is going to explode like it has for computers. Meanwhile, the camera apparatuses are incredible. Amateur filmmakers can produce stuff that's indistinguishable from the raw footage of seasoned professionals. 3D printing also great. I recently graduated from an architecture program, and our school employed similar technologies. We had a modified robotic arm from a cat factor that could sculpt from all sides. I'm interested in seeing if something like that ever comes to market.
