Going to a MASSIVE Coin Show? Tips and Advice to consider on BIG shows

Have you ever gone to a massive coin show? Maybe you've been to some or maybe this is your first time. Regardless, I have thought of a few tips and advice for buyers and dealers in this video. I reference a big coin show I'll be attending in a few days, the Orlando F.U.N. show, and I use my experience with this show to make some suggestions for you on your first, or next visit to a massive and exciting coin show. I’m going Friday and the one tip I would share is to stay calm and look around before buying, many dealers have different prices. Don’t jump at the first opportunity, it’s ok to walk around and look. Ask questions too!!

I wanted to share something that happened to me this past Monday. I am retired and have been buying silver for the past 11 years or so, and I have no one that is remotely interested inheriting them. Besides my full rolls of Eagles and Maple leaf coins I decided to sell all the loose coins and keep the sealed tubes. There are no coin dealers in my area of Eastern Ky. So I went to the local pawn shop, the guy paid up for the Eagles and said he would buy all I would sell, BUT he shoved the Maple Leaf coins back to me and said " I'm not at all interested in these, so the only other source of coins in my area is the "GUY " at the flea Mkt. who offered me $20. each. which was about $3.00 under spot. Just wanted to share my experience with you. I really enjoy your channel keep up the good work.

My second fun show. I agree. Have a plan. Speg you hit the nail on the head. Create a want and a wish list. Be open to things you would never consider. Barter! Have your coin apps, eBay etc at the ready. And research a couple of months out. Research pricing and trends ahead of time. You really need to be prepared. Lots of eye candy!! Beware and Be ready to walk away!!! And probably most important, have fun. Ask questions. All the major grading companies will be there. Even the US mint will b there. So there's lots opportunity for learning and finding that right coin. Good luck to all who are going! Thanks Speg.

The best thing a person can do to prepare is have a good knowledge of what they are looking for and be target specific ( dont be tempted to buy whatever you come across), other then that just be careful and security conscious, alot of bad people watch who buys what with how much cash.

I might go to the F.U.N. show in Orlando but may wait until the next one in July 2022. It starts January 6th to 9th.
