The excitement from Jonas about Joel being fired is immense and hilarious.

I think their dynamic is so magnetic. If I watch an old roomie video I feel something missing with only Joel talking. August and Jonas contribute so much to every video and I think are hilarious but the trio is unbeatable to me

this is so weridly fresh to see Jonas and August get a video to share their opinions on music, it's very nice

I always wondered what BTS song would be the most critically acclaimed if they'd be included. But Spring Day definitely deserves the spot. The lyrics themselves, the meaning, the context... It's such an emotional song. Dynamite intruduced me to BTS, it's a great bop, deserved all the attention it got but Spring Day is just on another sphere. The snippet alone almost made me cry again.

For songs you have never heard it's so difficult to make a judgment on just a snippet, even more when its a foreign language. I recommend a complete listen through. Spring Day is almost always at the #1 spot on BTS song rankings for a reason. I think it's one that needs the full listening with captions. It's a Beautiful song, and live at overwhelmingly emotional

The vibe of the video with only the two of you is so different. I'm in awe. It's good. It works.
Nice. You can totally do more of these and let Joel have a day off now and then

Spring Day will always reign supreme with Black Swan a close second. Please I pray can you do a deep dive into Spring Day, you will be pleasantly surprised. The lyrics can stand alone, but then you add the visuals, music, vocals and it's magical.

Spring day really needs to be reacted ti as a whole and with context. This song was dedicated to the victims of 2014 Sewol ferry tragedy and Spring day expresses feelings of the families whose kids passed away. I honestly cannot express how meaningful that song is. And there is also the fact that after releasing Spring Day, whenever BTS has a comeback, Spring Day always comes back on the charts. So yeah, I strongly recommend listening tk the whole song

I agree with Jonas, 'Spring Day' is a type of song you need to see the whole video and listen to the whole song and if you see the translated lyrics you'll understand why is it so meaningful. It's also homage to the deceased of the Seoul ferry incident.

I would like more duo videos like this, a mix of the three of you. I bet it's nice for each of you to have breaks and all the different dynamics are nice to watch. Great video!

Going for Dynamite over Spring Day is brutal. You can choose almost any Korean BTS song and it would smash down all of their English releases together. Their Korean songs are GOLD

if you're interested you should react to the whole back story of "spring day" - it's an incredibly beautiful song and there's a reason it hasn't left the south korean charts since it's release in february 2017

fun fact: Spring Day since its release (2017) has never left the charts in South Korea :)

I still can't believe that they've chosen dynamite over spring day lol, but it's okay after all it's their opinion

I like the fact that they mentioned how they haven't heard Dynamite on the radio that much. Cause while both Dynamite and Butter have had many more spins in the West than any of their Korean or Japanese songs, the amount of spins they had is still ridiculously low compared to the success both songs had. If you compare it to any American or British artists' hit songs, with equal or even less views, streams or clicks, you'll still see radio giving Western songs more spins.
I don't think they've mentioned it, because they actually wanted to raise a critique at the western music industry. However, I hope they may come to the conclusion that artists from foreign countries that sing in their native language that is not English or Spanish do have it harder in the global industry cause of the xenophobia induced by the monopolized business.

Also while the production and mixing of Spring Day might not be for everybody, the reason why it's been so critically acclaimed, both by music critics and the fandom is mainly because of the beautiful lyrics and story behind the song and music video. As the article mentioned if you read the translation for the lyrics, even losing a bit of the wordplay and beauty, you can still gather gorgeous imagery and intense emotions in the form of poetry. One of the members created the motif inspired by leaves falling from a tree while he was enjoying a walk in a park. Since this nostalgic view made him think of some friends he hasn't talked to in a while, it also inspired him and other members to dedicate this song to missing friends and grief. When they made the music video for this song a new meaning has been added to this craft. Due to a lot of "coincidental" references there's a speculation that it is also dedicated to the victims of a tragedy (Sewol Ferry) where hundreds of kids lost their lives due to the negligence and selfishness of the crew and even powerful people (including the president of the time). A lot of artists and journalists got blacklisted speaking about this topic. So to do something like that on their part as still emerging artists, also donating to the families of the victims was very dangerous for their careers. This song then became a symbol of comfort and support for the people seeking justice in this tragedy.
The beauty of this song shines through when it's performed live, especially with a live band. The arrangement and the members' live vocals make it a lot more emotional and special.

They didn’t have lyrics open for Spring Day so they can’t really judge it… the romanized verse: “Po go ship da” means “I’m missing you” or “I miss you.” The song conveys emotions of grief. Since it was written about or in response to the Sewol Ferry Tragedy, it hits harder in the hearts of Korean people and those who’ve lost a loved one. A longer clip, with lyrics would’ve been better. or possibly watching a stage performance in another video. Here’s the English translation of the chorus and post-chorus

Snowflakes fall down
And fall apart little by little
I miss you (I miss you)
I miss you (I miss you)
How long do I have to wait
How many nights do I have to pass
To see you? (To see you)
To meet you? (To meet you, ooh-ooh-ooh)

Pass the end of winter's cold
Until the spring day comes again
Until the flowers bloom again
Please stay, please stay there a little longer
