Illinois needs both a substantial increase in its income and sales taxes. It also needs to pass a constitutional amendment allowing it to cut its pension obligations. The state will need to run on austerity for 20 years to clean up this mess.

All able bodied people need to be stripped of their welfare, food stamps, government housing and rental assistance. These programs should only be afforded to people with mental or physical limitations.
