Config File stands for “Configuration File”
A file that contains configuration information like- User Name, Password, Path, Email Ids, Web URL, Comments, etc. for a particular Project is called Config File.
It is used by various application in Project. It is written in Excel file. Easy to read and write. It becomes reusable.
It has “Name”, “Value” and “Description” or “Comments”.
UiPath opens and reads config file at start time. Configuration information may be changed while the application runs, and take effect either immediately or upon restart when the configuration file is re-read.
Applications access locations to load or save important information. The application uses the preferred paths denoted in the configuration file. For example, a path can describe the drive and folder to a configuration file.
Config file should be stored on a shared location so that UiPath can access it easily.
