Jeopardy ran had been off the air for some time when Al did this parody, ending in 1979, it was only revived with Alex Trebek months later, in 1984. The original host Art Fleming and announcer Don Pardo appeared in this video...as well as Greg Kihn, who did the song "Jeopardy" that it was based on.

I love that Al got the original host Art Fleming and announcer Don Pardo to reprise their roles from the original (pre-Alex Trebek) game show. A testament to Al's desire for authenticity in his songs and videos.

Weird Al won several Grammies in the Comedy division. BTW, he also made several original songs over his career, but was best known for his parodies. I loved sone of the originals, but those parodies were gold.

Weird Al is a genius. I love his songs and videos. I think my all time favorite of his is White & Nerdy, and second favorite would be Fat. Both hilarious songs and videos.
And yes, they did make a movie about his life, and he's played by Daniel Radcliffe.

The original Jeopardy was on NBC during daytime soaps operas. The look was much different than the syndicated version.
