MotoGP 15: Perfect Launch Tutorial

To get the "special" start on the GP bikes, in a race when you're on the grid select 1st gear, put the front brake on fully, hold forward on the left analogue stick, hold Y (manual tuck) give it full revs, when the lights go out release the front brake and away you go!!

Nice video. I always do this in Ride, but unfortunately after a second when the wheel stops spinning the bike does a massive wheelie. I'm getting better and controling it so it's not a big deal.

The other way to do this is (Motogp class): 1. Bike in neutral, full throttle, shift into 1st gear.
2. Release throttle all the way, back on full throttle immediately. This will launch the bike every time, some wheel spin.

Very useful video, I didn't realise you could do it good launch with a Moto2 bike, thank you for sharing that :)
One thing I will add though, I don't know exactly what you mean by a normal start, but normally the bikes are in Neutral. However, if you change up to 1st before the lights go out you get a better start, which is perfect for moto3.
I'm sure you know this Robo, but just incase others didn't then it's best to select 1st gear before the lights go out for the moto3 class. :)
