The brick most likely for sliding baits .. kayak a line out far on a heavy line and rod .. then clip or live bait to it and let it slide way out there further then ya can cast ..

Used the cinder block for extra weight for casting. That wouldn’t anchor anything down anywhere in the ohchin or anywhere else for that matter, and it definitely wouldn’t keep a corpse down to any stretch of the imagination
