FZ-09 A-Mode Quick Ride to Work

I wanted to show that the fueling and throttle are perfectly fine on this bike despite what other reports say. I just got my new GoPro 3+ Silver and this is my first attempt at editing a video. I already know I need a better mounting point for the camera.
PS. I bet you didn't know the FZ-09 had Hyperdrive :)

The voice of maturity and experience. Some of these young guys that post most of the FZ-09 videos could use some ofboth. Well done, sir. Thinking this will be the next bike added to the stable.

I just test rode this in A mode all the time around town..and I say anyone who comnplains about the throttle has never ridden a bike. It must be because there is fucking nothing wrong or TWITCHY as you might hear. A mode is perfectly fine from anything 10km stop and go traffic and up. This bike is perfect, there is never a need to switch out of A mode in my opinion. Either everyone who complained has never ridden before or they had a lemon. Best fucking bike I have ever ridden and I am getting one when I can. They are actually sold out for the whole damn year where I live that is awesome they are. To all the people out there considering against getting this because of the reviews you read just fricken ignore those trolls. You will not regret this

Great Video, I am 55 and about to buy 1st Bike coming down to this FZ09 and new Honda CBR 650F, have been on you tube 2 months watching all the videos, was leaning toward the honda because of the people talking about FZ -09 tourqueness and wheelies easily and so forth, until saw your videos uncle guy, now back to hard to make my choice, any comment about a newbie buying anyone of these bikes I mentioned, I respect you have been riding  40 years I believe you said in another video. ( I love this new culture I 've found couple of guys on my job have bikes and I have fell in love with them sorry it took so long to get here :-)

I just picked up an fz this weekend and absolutely love it. I was a little nervous getting it for a first street bike, but I'm glad I did! I have been riding motocross my whole life so the upright stance really drew me in. I'm among those who think that the throttle isn't overly snappy, it just needs respect and a soft touch.
P.S. great to see someone repping north county with me!

I own this bike, R1, CBR 1000rr, CBR 600rr, Harley Breakout, Harley Softtail Duece, multiple ATVs, and dirtbikes. I picked this over a Ducati hypermotard because it's twice as fun to me. This is by far my favorite, outside rides longer than 300miles which I will take my cruisers. The bike has a snappy throttle and plenty of torque that I wheelie it constantly in any gear. I'm also experienced enough to ride it sensible when needed. Those that have issues with the bike are usually inexperienced and scared of it's power upfront power, my two liter bikes require a lot more RPM to make the power this makes right down low. Great bike.

I have a '14 FZ 09, and I'm 163/lbs (full gear.) I have never had so much fun, with a huge grin on my face riding any bike. Ever. That includes my beloved 2015 KTM 300 XC enduro bike, and I'm a die hard single track guy.... Twist a grip man!

I love to hear from other FZ-09 / MT-09 owners that they have no problems with the throttle.  I can kind of understand how some test pilots might find a problem with it but I belive it's mainly down to their technique.  Spend some time on the bike and use the throttle smoothly and it's an absolute joy.

I've seen negative reviews, but nothing but positive feedback from experienced riders. Nice little video. The SD area is awesome BTW!

I got the 2016 on blue back in December. I love it. I upgraded to the Carbon akropovich and power commander V. I do A Mode only on the Highway. Std in the city and neighborhood and B in heavy traffic. The pc V will tame the throttle specially from first to second. You can tell the difference now it needs to be tune on the dyno.

Great ride to work! (Lovin' the hyperdrive haha) and you handle a bike nicely too, Sir! I'm gettin' an Mt 09 (UK) real soon and your video helped me choose so thank you, Guy ;)

Mate, my sentiments exactly... I almost didn't even test ride this bike because of all the crap about 'snatchy throttle this, under-damped suspension that' lol. It is an amazing bike! At such a budget I have no complaints whatsoever. If they had bumped the price up by $2k or so I would want much better suspension but the throttle is perfect. Thanks for the vid

Thanks for showing your hands. I'm selling my Ducati Monster S4 and have been looking at this as the power bands (on dyno sheets I've seen for this bike and what I have for my duc) are very similar. Watching you I can see throttle input is similar as well. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to test ride one of these!

I agree i have no jerky issues with my fz09. For those who also complain some of them the throttle cable isnt adjusted properly. about 8 inchs from the grip theres an adjustment easy to get rid of any slop in the trottle for even more crisp response and smoother riding. I always leave it in beast mode in town or not.
