Alfa Romeo TONALE - MHEV - is it still a real Alfa?

This is the all-new Alfa Romeo Tonale. Tonale is a rather gorgeous-looking Italian crossover. I am testing a mild hybrid version of Tonale with a 1.5 - litre petrol engine under the bonnet, combined with an electric motor, producing 160 hp and 20 hp respectively. MHEV - mild hybrid is a rather foreign and very new terminology to Alfa Romeo. It might potentially disappoint hardcore Alfa lovers but perhaps it is also a wise commercial move?

The production of this review is close to the best that the channel has release Anna and that is saying a lot, this is better than many broadcasts. The aerial landscape drone shots are superb combining the following the car and closing in on it from a distance. Wonderful. I've not driven this car but given your review in this configuration it's not as well produced as your video. Many thanks for sharing Anna.

Hi Anna--first video road test I have seen of one of these. Been hearing and reading about them forever, including chatting with my dealer about it. (Not in the new car market right now, I was simply curious about when they would be getting them in while I was there having my 500X serviced.) Attractive crossover ride and the color is superb. And who better to show it off to us than....you? 😉🙂

Another excellent video Anna…the Alfa has a lot to like and is very attractive but….it needs that uprated engine and then it might deliver more of what you like! Herein the U.K. though, Alfa struggles with a very weak dealer network so buying one is a big adventure and I am able to say that just this week I saw a 22 plate in identical colour to this car, parked up in the “We buy any car” holding yard…which is rather concerning!! a good work again Anna….but you need a bigger Alfa to please you more!!!😀😀😀😀

Great review as always Anna. An Alfa is always something special. Certainly a lovely cross over, However I would much prefer the Stelvio out of the two. Like where Alfa is going with mild hybrid technology instead of all out electric like some manufacturers.
