I'm not cutting my violin in half to install one of those. 😉

To paraphrase the late Senator Lloyd Bentsen: "Hamberger, you're no soundpost."

Now play the violin and compare it. That’s the real proof required.

I am curious about how the sound compares to a fitted wooden sound post. Even my carbon fiber 'cello uses a fitted wood sound post. This does look very interesting.

A good Luthier can fit a traditional sound post in a few minutes too, when using the proper tools.
I'm more interested in how it sounds than how fast it can be installed.

The artificial heart of the violin. Hmm...

Is there a chance that the vibrations coming through the soundpost combined with pressure from the top and back plate down the screw thread will undo the screw and loosen the sound post?

I'll fit brass jack screws to d'bass bridges & use composite tailpieces (on violins & cellos) with inbuilt fine adjusters, but I will not resort to this for a sound post though. It's not that hard to accurately cut & fit a spruce soundpost.

I use these magnets for a lot of things (Including a Krentz Wolf tone Modulator) and It makes thins so easy. Never considered this though. Very interested in this. Especially how it sounds. And is it made for Double Basses? Great invention.!

This is the art of making the easiest thing to the hardest one, the installation looks easy but what about all the stuff you'll have to prepare.

one day they will find out how to make violins out of sheer ABS plastic. Print on 3D or extrude. Interestingly, by that time nobody will tell the difference!

But what if it losen and dropped from it's position, how can you unscrew it inside without proper base(fixation). With original SP you can just get it bqvk easily through f-hole and put it back

A M A Z I N G. My only big concern is how it will effect the sound compared to a traditional sound post of just wood.

No, thanks! I have a hot dog soundpost and I don’t need a hamburger!

I think it took longer to do this than it took to just replace a regular soundpost. And looks more tedious.

How does this sound on the Mezzo Forte Evo Line or the popular, Design Line???

At first I thought maybe he was installing something clever like a soundpost with a built-in microphone. But no such luck. This will leave magnets inside your violin. For $15 on ebay you can buy a sound-post installer that works very well. I suppose the one nice feature of this soundpost is that you can adjust the length.

I can't wait to stop a performance half way through because my sound post loosened and fell...

Not that I would be good enough to have anyone but my mom care.

How are you fitting each end to the contour of the top and back plates and thus also looks to be a potential spot for buzzing, not interested
