Question, should we not update to 4.0.3 first (before installing the Market)? Do you have any instructions 'how to upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0.3? I also saw that the upgrade to 4.0.3 is version dependant (on the Onda site), I however could not find which version in my vi40.

@SchlumpfiHB Many Thanks I have now got it working! But i have noticed that there are light spots in the top left and right hand corners.This is a lot more noticeable with black backgrounds. Is this normal or a fault with the one I have?

@SchlumpfiHB Yes I did use the blog, great work I have to say, but after about 20 - 30 attempts to re-flash I gave up, I've re-flashed many other Android models but never had so much trouble, may try again tomorrow. Many thanks

I have a Vi40 but found thw wifi connection is always so slow I tried some apps for wifi acceleration but not that much difference even at home on my router you need to be in the same room as router to get a decent speed, and advice, tips ? I am in UK I tried the tablet in the far eats but still same problem, which dongles are best for this tablet?

Hi, Ive got this tablet, and while Gmail, and the market work (google play) and came fully ready and running. I have a number of apps that I'm told are not compatible with my device would this fix that issue or is there something else that should be done for that?

@SchlumpfiHB, sorry but how do I direct windows to the download package? I have tried several times (maybe I am not doing the right thing). the download folder that is located in the storage device is empty (I don't even know its it the one you are referring to. I hope the USB debugging is activated by just checking the correspondent box. Please help me on this..thank you

@SchlumpfiHB, I'm just unlukcy. My computer recognises my vi40 at the device manager as "android" when I right click to update driver and tries to locate the device I found no such name as downloadpackage. I'm very frustrated now. Is it possible to send me a copy of the downloadpackage so that I place it in my download file and trace install the driver from it?

@SchlumpfiHB Yeah Tried and tried again, nearest I got to a re-flash was 54% complete and then it hung !!! tried on win 7 and XP sometimes the tablet is recognised sometimes not and now the tablet is bricked !!!!

I ordered the onda vx610w mobile internet tablet from mcbub.com. I received it in the mail yesterday and when I opened it up and powered it on for the first time I couldnt access the market. I have downloaded thescript and the market fix and still cant get it. I factory reset my tablet a couple times now. I think I may have ruined this tablet what can I do. it is running android 4.0.3 firmware and i am getting frustrated with this device.
