So I built a thing, I built the worlds Largest Soundwave or perhaps the worlds largest Transformer Shelf. what started as a great idea from a 10 year old has now become the center piece for my friends Toy Store. And we were able to complete it in time for the 40th anniversary of the original Transformers animated series and right before the new Transformers One movie. To learn more about Aaron’s 80’s Toys his link is here:

This project was huge and uses nearly every tool and skill I had. Including some I didn’t have as well. This in essence was like building 10 seperate bookcases that all had to fit together. And I had to ensure they fit together without ever pre assembling them in the garage. Know I have done stuff like this in my professional career but nothing like this as a hobby. We started with what may be the smallest Hasbro Soundwave currently made, the. We bought a Hasbro Soundwave Helmet and use those two items in conjunction with the TV Aaron had to scale the shelf. In the end the shelf is 35 times larger than the toy. At nearly 12 feet tall we think it may be the largest Transformer shelf in the world. Perhaps we should call Guinness? Doesn’t really matter we had a lot of fun and learned a lot along the way.

I may put the Soundwave hand models out of Thingiverse if anyone is interested please let me know in the comments. Perhaps you wants a giant transformer hand that is also a planter? Or something to hold you giant Yeti? Let me know

I could list all the materials I used but would run out of space here. If something is of interest leave a comment and I will get you the information to any material or tool I used.

Aaron is a good friend of mine. I help him with the toy store from time to time. I have to say, the soundwave shelf is the coolest thing ever!
