The way to beat Muk easily is to ignore the crafting altogether and just focus on opening chests.
Chest cost perma increases every night so speed is vital.
Getting 4+ lifesteal+ regen is enough to facetank the statues, farm the statues for gold, and open the medium chests. Rinse repeat.
You can snowball so hard doing this that by night 3 you have every chest on the map opened.
