I’ve been waiting for your thoughts on this. It’s so refreshing to have a content creator who understands you can be a Disney fan but still respectfully subjective. I think the only winner out of this announcement is Epic Universe!

Don't forget Das also uses lightning lane line too

Honestly, single rider lines are great options if you’re by yourself and don’t mind being without your party (or friend) for a ride! Space Mountain was practically a walk on with this. You get a pass at the exit and the wait was minimal!

I appreciate your take on this. You make a good point about it just jamming up the lightning lane line at different prices points. I thought it would allow unlimited turns in the line. What’s the point if it doesn’t?

At that price tag, you should be able to ride the same rides as often as you want!

As long as they eventually access the current multi-pass and stick with premier only, then I'll be happy! They are on the right track now, just need to finish the deal and guest experience will sky-rocket.

Such a hit and a miss.
I was there last August - a family of 4, stayed at the Grand Californian ( which was BEAUTIFUL), 5 park days, Genie + for all of us for all of the days of staying. also ate all of our meals including 2 character dining and bought a lot of merchandise. which is to say we dropped a lot of coins there.
I'm pretty pissed they shortened magic hour for HALF an hour which was a joke.. not enough time, you can barely make 1 ride. so as a high paying hotel guest I found that very annoying.
second thing with rides constantly breaking down, Genie + was often useless. because as the day progresses the pickings were very slim to none since they offer 1 time only riding a ride per day. they should offer an UNLIMITED rides.
for my family to come back they should come up with a system like Universal - we had the unlimited express ticket there and it was awesome.
so yeah, they should drop Genie +, make an express ticked like Universal and price it around 200 $,
this new premier pass is not appealing to me and so OVERPRICED for very little in return

This may be their solution to the complaints of guests saying they don’t want to be glued to their phones all day, and also wanting park trips more simple. Wonder if they will just phase out the regular lightning lanes, and just stick with this new system. And maybe they will add an unlimited rides tier as well. I understand most park chains now have this simple skip-the-line system including their main competitor (Universal), but it is egregious to go from free fast passes 10-20 years ago to this now.

What is strange about this is why did Disney come out with the new MultiPass just recently when they obviously knew this was coming as well? Why not roll all of this out at one time?
I have heard this is a “pilot” program so I am hoping eventually, as Dylan said, they just ditch the MultiPass thing all together and do what Universal does - Have two very expensive and limited tiers and that is it. Just with those alone at the right price Disney could double their money with far less people using it rather than the hassle (both guests and Disney CMs) of the MultiPass.

Another reason for LLPP is to lessen the need to buy the VIP tour and pay VIP Tour Guides.

People who won’t pay $30 for multipass aren’t going to pay $400 for premier pass. This won’t increase the amount of people in LL, but giving it free to hotel guests would (which is why I’m happy they didn’t). Most likely what will happen is that you’ll have fewer people buying VIP tours.

Also, if they do reduce the amount of LL passes per hour, that’s bad for people who buy LL multipass, but it’s better for the rest of us plebes in standby.

Love you breakdowns and honestly as your much more familiar with the theme parks . I saved for 2 years to go to Disneyland even extra for the fast passes now this option comes up 🤯🤯

Hi, Dylan! I was happy to hear your perspective on this topic. I'm thinking there will have to be some way to prioritize the LLPP people. I think people that pay that premium price are NOT going to be happy to stand behind others that paid less for the LLMP tier. I think you are right--it would be a better use of time and money to simply book a VIP tour. I believe you get lunch included and you also get perks like the tour guide getting bottled water and other treats while you are on rides.

Great video! I totally agree with you going to a theme should not be stressful. Things have really changed at the parks it's so disappointing.

You neglected the other KEY difference with the VIP package at 20:08 is that will give you access to EVERY Park's LL that day if you have Park Hopper. All for just that additional $100 than this.

Yeah, this would be great if this were the only LL option, and it would solve the insane queue issue in the park, but as long as there is a $25-$30 LL option, this solves nothing, and just serves as a personal VIP tour without a guide.

I think that they should keep the Premier Pass and get rid of the Lightening Lane. There is too many options. The front of the line pass isn't a luxury when anyone can get it. I believe that the $300 price tag is justified for the amount of attractions you get included. I hope they discontinue the regular Lightening Lane, and just have the premier and regular folks like me, who don't want to pay $35 a day per person for a family of 4. Our last visit we were able to use DAS for my son, and there were times the lightening lane line was longer than the standby.
