Should use a tube and fin intercooler for the issue if you think that’s the problem bar and plate ideally for drag style longer to warm up but holds heat once hot

I'd recommend using spring band hose clips. They give consistent pressure even after multiple heart cycles. Worm gear clamps tend to loosen up over time.

I’m a truck driver and we call those air to air not the proper term but it is what it is. Buying one used always makes me nervous especially without having it cleaned and pressure tested. Plenty of guys have had issues not sure if that’s a problem for cars or not.

You need to upgrade that radiator, a triple core all aluminum radiator would keep that car very cool

I know this is an older video. If you haven’t already considered some hood vents to both help reduce engine bay temps but should also help increase air flow through your CAC, condenser and radiator.

Fitting aftermarket intercoolers to those charge pipes can be such a pain with incorrect equipment. Seeing you make cake-work of it was quite entertaining
