Afternoon update: Storm system remains on track for PM 10/16-10/18 for ID/WY/MT/UT/CO, a few forecast totals trending down, snow levels start high, UT rain/snow starts at 11K then drops to 6K and this will cut down on total snow accumulation across the Wasatch, Southwest Mountains of CO could see 1-2 feet, low cuts off over CO/NM 10/18-10/20.

Hopefully this wraps up the northern Rockies fire danger and remaining Idaho fires. Always looking forward to that first decent fall snowfall to end what is typically a dry season!

Chris, I enjoy following you. You never mention the Snowbowl at Flagstaff. The last two years they've had big amounts of snow.
