Power's Ghost or James St Patrick was a character who lived a double life. He lived a life where he was James St Patrick but also had the persona of his character as Ghost. This came with troubles and issues as he tried to leave the game to pursue his dream as a legit businessman and entrepreneur as a club owner. Opening Truth in episode 1 of Power, Ghost was now living the dream he aspired to as his father also owned a Jazz Club, but he constantly was pulled back into the drug business by those close to him such as Tommy Egan and Tasha St Patrick as they never shared the same vision as him. Regardless, Ghost had the ability to live his double life, appearing and disappearing, giving the illusion of a real Ghost many times throughout Power, in the end did he win?

Ghost is arguably the best character I've ever seen in this type of show

The story line for the spin-off James is there! It actually enough to make a Starz original stand alone movie!

I respect that he fully made it a success. Remember he was always three moves ahead.. it really proves to be a Sneak attack method... Imagine calculating 3 moves to 1 problem/situation.. His character made his rivals or enemies think that they won. Then he sneaks and attack.. Truly original general moves.. 'OG' ways..

They definitely should make a James St Patrick spin off, just before the night club opened up!!

I can’t understand why
Why would people continue to say that Ghost was selfish when he put everyone around him in a Position of Power.
What he wanted for himself was to have an Legitimate life after he Conquered his under world success
As he said he took all of his Experience and use them because he is not one thing
Ghost had a lot of people that hated him because he wasn’t allowing them to use him any more
And everyone at the end that wanted to kill him he wanted better for
If he created anything that Mirror him then would be selfless because if they couldn’t use him witch they was miss using
Everyone who wanted him dead was no leader they where followers and Ghost knew how to use them
They all at some point know how to play their roll and that where they should have continued to play
Long live Ghost.

I think James never wanted to be Ghost at all. He had to be to survive and since the money, power and respect wasn't bad he wanted to keep going to build something that could get him and everyone he loved out of the game. That's where we meet James season 1. I think he was only narcissistic in thinking he was untouchable. I love this character, he's my favorite t.v antihero of all time. Too bad he messed over too many ppl to achieve his dream and this led to his death.

02:01 true power firstly requires confidence, when confidence is certain form of self-delusion. Believing that you are almost always in control. Only then your doubts and insecurities will not take control over you. Weak compassionate people become weak willed people (full of doubts) they won't get to power, nor enjoy power.
You need to be egoistical to certain degree to be in power.

Seems like Dre was a generic version of Ghost. We saw Dre as a corner boy then evolve into a Boss... But he wasn't as smart as Ghost

I would correct a few things you said: He did do a good job balancing his legit life and the streets, he had the ability to appear in multiple places at once. Also he was never quick to trust, he always approached enemies with caution and would test them in clever ways.

They should make a prequel series to Power. How James(before they called him Ghost), Tommy, Angie, and Tasha grew up. How their individual upbringings were. We could understand how and why they act the way they act

Power’s plot was so contrived and simplistic, at times just plain fantastical, yet Ghost was such a dynamic and complex character. He really made that show as great as it was. No one but Omari could’ve pulled the role of Ghost off as perfectly as he did. Kanan and Tommy were also extremely amazing characters for such a haphazardly written story.

He became delusional which his downfall trusting tariq and sparing him and not staying 100 blocks ahead and staying clear

To have a WILL that hasa clause for Tariq finishing college in order to inherit everything... only means he had it planned the whole time. You can sit and think that he didn't have it all planned out. Usually, wills are set in the far future, that one was near future.
