You're not getting gigabit speeds on that device as the dongles are on the same USB2 bus (480mbps max).

Something I don't understand about the demonstration is how to set the USB ports to Ethernet and apply iPs to them. Is there configuration before were you started or are they automatically configured before were you started

What performance do you get with this configuration? For example, what is the latency between two nodes connected to this bridge? And what throughput do you see when performing Iperf between two nodes?
