I share my experience of undergoing multifocal IOL eye surgery, including the preparation, procedure, and recovery process. If you're considering multifocal lens replacement or cataract surgery, you'll want to watch this video to know what to expect. I discuss the benefits of multifocal lens implant and how it has improved my vision. From the initial consultation to post-operative care, I cover every aspect of my journey, including the multifocal intraocular lens procedure and any challenges I faced. Whether you're looking for information on lens replacement surgery or simply want to know more about multifocal IOL surgery, this video is for you. I hope my honest account helps you make an informed decision about your own eye health.

I wanted laser eye surgery (lasik) but I wasn't suitable for it and had big decisions to make. This is not an advert for Optimax but after looking around, that is the company I used. Talk to others, but if you choose Optimax, do me a favour and give them my Patient ID (22047130), you get a £250 discount and I'll know I helped you.
Just make sure you contact a few companies to get more than one consultation, and you are happy with who you choose.

I’ve had this done with the multi focus lens’s in both eyes last week.. it’s like I’ve never seen the world and its contrast and colours before! So pleased with this decision. Anybody that’s thinking about doing this do it! Fantastic 👀

Great video. I am in Canada and have to replace one of my lens; I was so sceptical and petrified about the Multifocal lens halo until I view this video - now I am ready for the surgery. Thank you for sharing your experience and all the best!

thank you so much for this, just what i needed to see. Im heading off tomorrow to have my bilateral lens replacements done the day after. Im nervous and excited at the same time. My fear is the pain during and after the procedure and the length of time my vision will be blurry post op. Im so glad you have had such a good result

Hi there, thanks for this informative video, it really has helped answer some of my questions. I had a consultation on Saturday and have a lot to think about before making my decision but this video really has helped. As you rightly say it's down to the individual to seek out the proper medical advice and weigh up the potential risks and benefits before proceeding but this is the way with anything in life. I see some of the reaction in the comments below and can only liken them to someone who has been in a car crash having a go at someone online for recommending a car to purchase. There is a risk you could get injured or even killed every time you get behind a wheel yet we all do it every day. Yes things can go wrong with this or any procedure but I don't think someone is irresponsible to recommend it based on their own personal positive experience. This operation is done for people with cataracts thousands of times per day all over the world and helps improve their quality of life. Again, thanks for the "real life" info, it has been much appreciated.

And I also have like six pair of glasses, and I’m always losing them and now I can’t even see out of any of them - so you are awesome for making this! 🤗

I had multifocal IOL surgery on both eyes, one week apart, to address presbyopia (57 year old male with no other vision issues). After the first eye was done I was very nervous since the near vision improved but everything else was very blurry. A friend who recently had the surgery, and the doctor, reminded me that that was normal and that things would get better. I went ahead with the second eye and 4/5 weeks later I'm happy with the result. Distance vision is nearly back to normal and near and medium are much better than before. I don't need glass to read or for the computer! The one issue is night vision. I drove at night in pouring rain the other night and it was difficult. I'm told it will get better, so we'll see. Overall I'm happy with the outcome, and am told that it can continue to improve for a couple more months. 👍🏼

Thanks for posting this! Just had the lens on my left eye replaced about four hours ago (as I type this). Decided to have one eye done, as I felt my situation was similar to yours. My left eye was getting very blurry, however my right eye was still decent for mid to far distances. So far so good! I will re-post as the days go by. :)

The start of my second day after my right eye lens replacement surgery.WOW is all i can say, what a difference, night & day.I go back to see my surgeon in 2 weeks for a check up & hopefully get a letter when my left eye will get done, excellent.

Also with two implanted trifocals you will see great at far distance. And better at near then with one. I had my second implant three weeks after the first one so I know for sure that it is better with two.

Thanks so much for relaying your experience! It's quite reassuring, as I'm a 40yo man with rapidly developing cataracts, and have to have surgery in both eyes. I'm going for two EDOF lenses in both eyes and will be stuck with whatever I end up with afterwards forever. Glad you've had a positive experience, and I hope I have one too!

Clough Reviews - Fantastic video as with a year or two, I'll need cataract surgery.

There's an element of luck to the surgery so fingers crossed.
