Threats cause early dismissal at Hazelwood East High School

Many Hazelwood East High School parents are worried about their children's safety after students were forced to leave early Monday. Police say they are investigating multiple threats from a fallout of a viral video showing students fighting near the school last week. One girl is in the hospital with serious injuries.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is calling on the girl who beat her to be charged as an adult. She could be charged with first degree assault.

Charged with merely "assault" is crazy. The fight looks to have begun mutually (that isn't to say the smaller, white girl might have been pressured into it?), so i dont see how the charge would be assault?

The brutality at the end is what it's all about. That was an attempt to murder as I see it. Even though she was winning the fight she went ahead and did that to the poor girl. Then, after the initial sickening *thud*, she did it again! Her mind was set on ending her.

Everyone who chose to inflict violence on another person in this brawl was in the wrong. No one is right in this situation. Fights often result in serious injury and death. You aren't anymore righteous than the person you fought just because you got hurt a lot more than them.
