I know nothing about cross stitching, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but ...why is this person stitching over the blue thread?! Isnt that so much more work than just leaving it blank and stitching the yellow right away? Im confused, please help 😅

I think shes using 2 strands folded in half.... so ultimately 4 strands is what shes using
