What Jim astutely points to is:

1. Supply chain crises are only going to magnify
2. Sanctions in a globally connected economy are more harmful than helpful
3. Inflation is here to stay because if the Federal Reserve raises interest rates too high it will lead to corporate defaults akin the 2008 financial crisis
4. Starvation in Africa is going to create a migrant crisis that made the past 10 years look like a League One football match

Rickards used to be a smart guy, and I have most of his books. But he has now become a Putin proxy, repeating the silly Russian BS that because Ukraine was once part of the Russian and Soviet empires that gives Russia a permanent sovereignty. By this token, the US, Canada, Australia and India all belong to Great Britian, and European Russia belongs to the Swedish king. What about the Declaration of Independence and the "self-determination of peoples"? If you don't believe in these things you shouldn't pretend to be an American. I'm probably going to throw away his books now, not even send them to the library, since he doesn't deserve further readership.

i agree with the sanctions since puke(in)has sanctioned all europe and the uk so now we have people deciding to heat or eat not both and petrol is at a resoundingly massive high price all due to him
