Ahead of Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial, a pretrial hearing took place where the court covered multiple motions including Baldwin’s role as a producer, whether or not to exclude certain witnesses, and evidence discussions. The judge and attorneys often got tense with one another regarding agreeing on the motions presented. Baldwin’s trial is expected to start Wednesday with opening statements.

Famed actor and movie producer Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins died on Baldwin’s “Rust” movie set. Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for Hutchins’ death. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

There should NEVER be any live ammunition on a movie set! Ever!!

Since this incident happened during a rehearsal that wasn’t being recorded for the film, doesn’t that mean that the gun didn’t need to have anything in the chamber at all?

I was training on props when this shooting happened on a show up in Canada. One of the first things I was told to do is check any gun before I hand it to an actor. We weren’t working with any weapons that fired at all and we didn’t have an armorer. I was shown how to be careful with the belts and fake guns I put on the actors and fire them even before hitting them in the belt even when they are fake. I was told that actors aren’t supposed to fire them but in the heat of the moment, they sometimes will. I understand that so carefully made sure each weapon was safe before I introduced myself to an actor and put a weapon on them. The show I was on was independent so it wasn’t big budget but it was enough to make enough of an impression that I have a new career of if I choose. We were all as a crew heartbroken to hear of this and I was especially glad for my teachers who told me of the real world situations that so happened and I took that seriously.

Alec arms crossed and rocking in his chair - not happy . In another environment he'd be yelling, threatening and punching someone.

BALDWIN scuttered away after he shot Halyna, and he actually left the scene of the crime he committed. If you do that in a car accident, you are charge with that crime.

It was a non-intentional accident. Baldwin is not to blame. It was not his job to check the guns.

Gotta be honest here, prosecution doesn't seem like they're on their A-game. They seem ill-prepared.

Baldwin is busy writing his next screenplay biopic based on this trial. He's playing all of the parts. 😂

Judging from the pretrial hearing..It doesn't look like justice will be served for Halyna and her family. To not show the videos of Alex Baldwin recklessly pointing his gun around showing a complete lack of professionalism is relevant.
