I grew up close to Nashville, Tennessee USA in a rural area . My family attended a little church that played this kind of music every Sunday. It's a natural thing for all us hillbillies (I am college educated, by the way) to celebrate Jesus in our Southern way. I am proud of my Southern heritage.

   I really do miss this type of gospel that can't be found anymore except this rock and rap gospel crap... but finding this good ol' gospel is becoming extinct... and I praise God for this song... I remember, praise god, the old tent revivals and these old gospel music that people put heart and souls into the music like this one and preaches like the gospel should be preached, stepping on toes and preaching it like it is,  except for those who trys to make money and trying to make a name for themselves, are extremely hard to come by these days. Anybody that reads these comments, I have a prayer request that I need everyone to help pray about or keep us in your prayers as well, My fiancée and I are trying to get our business a going and we need it to go the Lords way. We already have clients now...but I know through the Lord God and our Savior Jesus Christ in his power of the blood and Sweet power Holy Name I believe it will grow. God Bless.

I'm a fervent atheist, but also a musician and teacher. It is one of my charges to teach American music history. This music is purest Americana (though rooted in British Isles immigration, but still "American") -- pure heart, soul, struggle, experience, and emotion. You don't need to be religious to thoroughly enjoy and/or become affected by American bluegrass, gospel and, especially, early country music. And its study requires the Secularist to understand, appreciate and become immersed in the folk culture, the beliefs, and the traditions of generations of people in these regions. Great performance here, by the way. I am entirely moved.
