I started to mill my own flour when my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. It was a game changer. Once you get the hang of it you won’t look back. The main thing I have learned is to cover and let your dough mixture rest for 15-30 minutes before you go into your kneading phase. Once I started to rest my dough, it changed everything.

Must say the food you produce always looks so tasty. Good on you for not editing out your mistakes as we all make them in the kitchen ❤

Steph, I too listened to Sue Becker on Lisa's podcast! It felt like a divine appointment! From what I've read in comments on Lisa's videos, Sue's youtube channel, and now on your channel - it seems there is a move of God among many women these past few weeks! So many are feeling led to purchase mills, myself included! I'm very eager to see where the Lord leads us all in obedience to His voice.

Cooking is an art. Not everyone can do it. Those who can cook well, their appreciation is on another level. You should be proud that you can do this cooking well.

HIGHLY suggest Sue Beckers podcast, the most informative podcast about freshly milled flour. She goes into such detail and there are hundreds of testimonies about how peoples lives have changed just by milling their own grain!!! I would suggest starting with her “Bread of Life” episode which is about 2+ hours long, but the information is GOLD.

Love fresh milled, been grinding fresh for 30 years, and watching you and Lisa getting off the white makes me can look at wholesome as more valuable than the white fluff

I just took 2 loaves of banana bread out of the oven as I had lots of overripe bananas. Thinking about Makin orange chicken over rice this week. I also have a turkey breast to stuff and bake. All the winter things. ❤

We did freshly milled einkorn sourdough waffles and they were so good! I've been using freshly milled flour for the better part of a year but just got my own mill in October. I have a KoMo and love it! We often do dutch babys or cream of wheat with einkorn fresh from the mill for breakfast and I'm loving bread recipes from Lovely Bell Bakes here on YouTube. My goal is to completely move away from store bought all purpose this year and since I have a sifter attachment for my mill I'll have that as an option too.
