In this episode I make the first attempt to start the truck with the new engine. Will it run? Will it catch fire? Will it explode? Well, I guess if it exploded, there wouldn't be a video.

This series walks though doing an engine swap in a 2008 Ford F-450 Super Duty. We are removing the 6.4L Powerstroke and replacing it with a 5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel out of a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500.

In a world where one man likes to work in his garage, we present to you.... Fun King Garage! Come along for the ride and check out our progress.

Some of the tools used in this video:
Red Shop Rags: Great for protecting your intake!

Rag extraction tool: Also known as long needle nose pliers.

Also,
I encourage you to press forward in completing your conversion. You're so close now! Press forward!

If you had dual alternators on your 6.4, and now will run 1 alternator on Cummins, run the 200 amp Ford alternator as a single. You will need ForScan on laptop with a USB Dongle. Then you can turn off the dual alternator option in the Ford ECM. If you don't the alt symbol will stay lit because the ECM can't find the dual alternator. DCS had no clue in how to turn off the alt lite. DCS seems to think having dash lights lit up is acceptable. But Fumminstuning. No need for the three exhaust pipe sensors and no check engine lights!

How come taking the regular 5.9 Cummins whether it be a 12 valve or 24V or common rail engines out of a Dodge pickup trucks are definitely a tip and a little easier than the industrial models especially when doing cummins swaps in the super duty trucks
