I love Xander, as a fellow San Diego State alumnus. The world is his oyster now and I'm here for it.
But I'll remember this Open for Daniel Brown. It's been a hot minute since we've seen a true unknown do so well at an Open Championship. It's one of the Open's main tenants after all-- it's OPEN.

I went with my late Father to Royal Troon in 1997 the year Justin Leonard won and Tom Kite came back from the airport to congratulate on winning the claret jug and making his Ryder cup team and watched a very Tiger Woods, Colin Montgomerie and Troon’s hero Thomas Sturgis Watson. Happy memories. The official film is superb and captures the excitement of the Open and the claret jug superbly well.

My Father loved Royal Troon. His Mother was captain of Rowany golf club Port Erin Isle of Man. 🇮🇲 I enjoyed being at Royal Troon. I wanted Adam Scott to win, my late Morher said he is decent man. Congratulations to Royal Troon.

First Open I’ve been to and it certainly won’t be the last, magnificent tournament, wonderful course, and thoroughly deserved Champion. Was rooting for Rosey but Xander’s back 9 was exceptional, fair play. Roll on Portrush!
