Enron - The Biggest Financial Fraud

When you think of Enron you think of a huge disaster that pretty much everyone should’ve seen coming. That’s not exactly what happened. Instead, it was kind of a shock to people. You see, Enron wasn’t always so synonymous with corruption and complete and utter failure. It used to be kind of like Tesla and Elon Musk. The businesspeople in charge of it were considered innovative geniuses. They were the ones fixing the old-school problems of Wallstreet. They were the new kids on the block who were hip with this new internet craze of the 90s and were going to make trading energy easy for the 21st century. And people loved them. Enron was commonly thought of as one of the greatest companies in the United States. It was considered to be one of the best companies to work for if you wanted to build a future. Magazines, interviews, and almost celebrity-level notoriety followed the CEOs. This was basically a business love story that everyone in America was gaga over.

And then it all exploded. You know that shady accounting practices were what caused Enron’s downfall but do you know all of the major players? Don’t worry, I can explain it in language everyone understands, in Avengers language. Who is the Thanos of Enron? Who are the heroes that brought them down? Most importantly, how did its fall shape American business practices today? Enron did end up changing the game but more through failure than success.

So what exactly happened with Enron? Only one way to find out!
