The article about your exhibition and the making of the 14 metres long print was fascinating.

As for varnishes, Hahnemuhle has matte, satin, and gloss finishes. The matte is a true matte, I use it on their Daguerre matte canvase as a protective coating and it remains a matte finish. As for color shift, I haven't noticed any difference from paper print to canvase with varnish when printed on Canon Pro 1000 aside from sheen difference from the various papers.

What a panorama! Never seen as big one even in photos or videos. I'm sure to read the article, that seems so interesting!

Your article on the 14 meter print is a must read! I wonder if the software 10 years on would have made the first attempt work? Of course, it would not have been as 'exciting' if your first print went without a hitch. Software or not, it's all about the capture, and you nailed it.

Was the big panorama printed with one set of inks? Or did the print require an ink cassette change?

Hi Kieth, glad you covered this topic👍
With regards to the Epson et8550 being a dye ink printer, would you recommend using a glossy or semi gloss canvas rather than a matte type canvas.
Probably image dependent but as a general starting point sometime in the future
I must add🤑
I’m trying to avoid expensive mistakes

Would it be possible to do a ICC profile with the test sheet varnished ? Maybe the change in color would be minimized?

How do approach the extra perimeter space needed to wrap the canvas, if you perhaps already finished the image, then decide on canvas later. I suppose Photoshop could be used to extend the edges by an inch or two.
