Why Does The Sahara Desert Exist?

Показать описание
The Sahara Desert is the largest desert on Earth. The Sahara (صحراء sahra') name itself means desert in Arabic. Life within the Sahara Desert borders is extremely tough given the dry climate, desolate landscape and amplitude in temperatures. Despite the challenging conditions however, people have managed to survive in the Sahara desert biome by utilising the desert's hidden treasures - aquifers.
To understand why the Sahara Desert currently sits on vast amounts of underground water reservoirs, you need to know about how the desert cycle between humidity and aridity.
Finally, Sahara Desert reach does not stop in Africa but stretches over oceans and continents. This is perhaps most visible in jungles of South (Amazon) and Central America.
If you would like to know more about the formation of the Sahara Desert and its effect on life in Africa and the world give this video a watch.

Great stuff! Found the video through the Climate Solutions: Egypt (The University of Edinburgh) MOOC. I liked 👍 it and subscribed 🔔.

0:57 Ok, the period of the dry-humid cycle is about 20, 000 years
- at what moment of the current cycle is Sahara now? ... 1/3, 1/2 ?
- how many cycles of dry-humidity has Sahara experienced till now?

I would like to see a video showing what occurs when the earth went through the tilt cycle leading to the African Humid cycle. Many scientists show the land receding from top to bottom. You have the land receding from bottom to top. Isn't it more likely to have receded from West to East? The desertification didn't stop or end at Africa. This great desert stretched to middle east, Iran, Iraq to China/Mongolia. This is because the earth was moving in a cycle that repeats every 23, 000 years and exposes more land to the sun as it spins 360° every 23, 000 years. It would be great to see that in a video and how desertification, migration and civilization have all been directly formed around these cycles.

In the Sahara, we have a combination of tropical Sunlight, heat from above, and the desert itself, heat from below, coupled with this, the continent of Africa is enormous but it's surrounded by Ocean. So the technological opportunity is staring us in the face to use old technology to irrigate the Sahara using solar power to evaporate seawater into useful distilled water and try to reclaim the old oases and lakes from the desertification that is happening.

In hot countries people often use two large clay pots to "refrigerate" their vegetables without using electricity, an inner pot keeps the food items cool, and an outer pot keeps, the heat out, using air insulation and maximises the cooling from condensation, the same principle could be used all across these deserted areas using seawater, evaporating in the smaller pot, heated by the sun, the steam condenses on the outer pot and runs down the sides to irrigate the surrounding ground. An africa wide project to rejuvenate the biosphere, focussed on ancient lakes and river beds and in conjunction with planting trees in the highlands this could be a thing we as a species could do for our Mother Country x. Can they not combine the hydroelectric power gains with desalination of water from the Mediterranean sea to create a fresh water lake?

And for 70 years they mined 22, 000 tons of iron per day out of the Sahara and this has lightened the crust which was restricting the magma flow in the large stream of magma and now the magma is starting to flow much faster and you can monitor the magma flow by observing the canary island volcano on the west side of the magma stream

robertstarkey

And under the thin crust is a huge channel of Magma that flows from east to west towards the Atlantic ocean

how come... i haven't found this channel earlier..

Because the Earth's crust is the thinnest where the Sahara desert is located

robertstarkey

Because that is where the Earth's crust is the thinnest and there's a huge stream of magma underneath the Sahara desert that flows from east to west

BEST Vid explaining why we simply have desserts... AND That We As Human should think about changing DoomsDay----Not bible stuff just nature will no longer be alive if we dont regreen the earth to live healthy again

The Sahara can all be reborn prematurely with the cheapest new fusion power and desalinated water. We need enthusiasm and hard work in permaculture and the cheapest desalinated water. Our old expensive fission nuclear and fossil fuel power production power stations need to be bought into the 21st century. We all need the newest power source to be super cheap to run and this is what you need to learn about. Fusion Nuclear power is that urgently needed, super cheap, green, and 24hr stable electric supply technology that can retrofit old power stations and build new ones on any scale and on a tiny footprint, safely within our communities. Well, it is actually here already. Many plasma confinement technologies like ITER are being experimented with around the world. They are all now enormously superseded by "AUREON ENERGY LTD" and their nuclear fusion SAFIRE GENERATOR. It can react and denature old spent ex-fuel transuranic leftovers and render them safe. The regular fusion physics players believe in an ancient theory of how the sun and all stars operate, which is why they will struggle to ever make commercial power. To catch up they need to study "ELECTRIC UNIVERSE THEORY" and high energy plasma physics and its confining Birkland Currents, operating throughout space. Study all this at "THUNDERBOLTS PROJECT.com" and become a real scientist where you learn to actually throw away old theories when all the new data simply do not fit them anymore and then update all your friends and peers.

Instead of going to the moon, why don't we regreen the Sahara Desert. Take care of planet EARTH, first!
